Cat Eating Less,
Constipated and Vomiting

QUESTION

I have a 10 year old cat who refuses to eat anything other than food based in jelly or gravy, yet does not eat the meat, only the jelly or gravy. She is sick quite frequently and has began straining all over the floor in my house. Sometimes she walks awkwardly as if her rear end is in pain. Should I be worried?

ANSWER

You should be very worried and should go to the vet immediately. Your cat is suffering and may have something treatable. Please go right away. Thank you,
Dr. Neely

My 10 year old eats less
by: Edith

Hi, my 10 year old male cat used to weight 6.4kg, and lately he eats less and weighed 6.2kg. He eats less but still very keen to go out for touring!!! But indeed I have added on a cat, a 3 month old kitten. Could that be the reason?
