Cat Urinary Tract Health

Custom Search

Cat Urinary Tract Health is one of the most talked about subjects in vet school, in private practice, and among cat owners. This is because the most common behavioral problem in cats is inappropriate urination.
Going outside the box.

I've often thought cats are nearly perfect creatures, the ideal pet, except for this one short-coming. I suppose the amount of hair they shed is not so desirable either, but certainly doesn't hold a candle to finding cat urine on your carpet, clothes or even your bed.

There is so much to learn and discuss about the feline urinary tract. It's most practical and useful to divide this large amount of information into two categories: medical and behavioral. Certainly, there are times when the two overlap. For the most part, however, the information we will cover in this section will be medical issues. You will find information about urinary problems that are purely behavioral in origin under the section of the website entitled Cat Behaviors.

When you reach the bottom of this page, there are several question and answer emails from my readers. You will find valuable information there as well as on the Cat Behavior page.
