Is my cat pregnant or did she give birth?

I have brought my cat inside since we noticed her belly getting bigger. well the night we brought her in, I noticed her nipples big and her hole had slight blood around. Is this a sign that we might have been late bringing her in this time around and she already gave birth. Or that it will happen soon?


Dear Brandi,

Without seeing your cat in person, I cannot say whether or not she is pregnant. The belly on a pregnant cat can be larger before birth and could still be larger even after she has given birth. The same is true for bloody discharge. Time will tell whether she is pregnant or not.
