Lump on Cat's head.

I'm new to this forum. I've been looking for an answer as to what could have caused a sudden lump on my cat's forehead.

He was a stray, and when he started coming to our home, we noticed a big lump on his forehead. Then a few days later, he came around again and his forehead was all bloody. We started feeding him because he was so skinny and malnourished.

It's been 2 months,he has gained weight and his forehead healed just fine. Well, long story short he is in our home and the most loving cat anyone could have.

Now yesterday all of a sudden, his forehead has a big lump on it again. We are so worried about him. Do you think this could be a spider bite? Will it burst?


What you describe sounds like an abscess that keeps rupturing and then reforming and probably needs a veterinarian visit to get antibiotics to make sure it goes away once and for all. Of course, without examining him personally, I can't be sure, but your description is consistent with an abscess from a bite wound or other trauma he experienced outdoors.
