My Cat has a UTI and keeps biting me. Should I be worried?

I'm not sure if you're asking if you can catch something from your cat or if you're asking should you be worried about your cat and why he is biting.

No, you're not going to come down with a urinary tract infection from being bitten by your cat. If that's not the question and you're asking, should you be concerned as to why he is biting, I would have to have more information to answer you. For example:

when did the UTI begin?

Has Your Cat Ever Been a Biter Before?

How soon after the UTI began did your kitty start biting?

How often does the biting occur?

Under what circumstances does the cat bite?

Are you giving medication to your cat?

Does your kitty get upset over the medication? Is he difficult to give the medication to?

Have there been other changes associated with the UTI? Do you have other cats in the house that were upset when the cat came back from the vet? Did your cat stay in the hospital overnight or for a few days? Is he on a new diet?
