My Cat Potato

QUESTION

I have 2 cats Potato and Heather, they were very close. Heather had kittens 2 weeks ago, and Potato has been very depressed and eats very little, very lethargic and just lays around. this has been going on for 3 days....could he have gotten sick off the kittens?

He could be sick, but unlikely it would be from the kittens since their Mom is Heather and he has been very close with Heather.

The other possibility is stress from the change in his situation. He may be jealous, depressed, confused, scared, etc.

If he is not better and especially eating well, he should be seen by a vet. Cats can get very sick just from not eating.
