QUESTION

My cat seems to have bloody diarrhea. The problem is I cant afford to take him to the vet. I know this isn't normal but I'm curious as to how serious it could be. His behavior is the same. He's still very active and eating and drinking the same. My daughter will kill me if I don't find a way to fix her cat.

Hi, Nicole,

(1) Diarrhea with blood in it can be very serious. It can be fatal.

(2) It may be something very treatable, but without treatment very serious, even fatal.

(3) It may be something less serious that is temporary and will possibly resolve on its own, but do you want to take the chance?

I strongly recommend you find a way to see the vet and please take a stool sample with you.

cat with bloody loose stoole

My cat just had kittens two days ago, since she had the kittens she has been pooping excessively and it is very runny also there are small spots of blood in it. I need help.

Kitten with liquidy,bloody stool!?

Hi,
I'm very worried about my girl kitten too!!!
For about 3 days now shes had liquid poop with some blood in it! Gross, I know, but I'm scared something could be very wrong with her. Also she has mucus blood around her butt? Help?

As stated in the answer to the original poster's question, diarrhea with blood in it can be very serious, and you should bring your kitten and a stool sample to a veterinarian as soon as possible.
