Sophie Survived the Joplin F5 Tornado To Celebrate Her 1st Christmas
by Paula
(Carthage, Missouri)
On May 22,2011, Sophie lived outside of Joplin outside of an Old Farm house. Sophie lived through the terrifying F5 tornado that killed over 160 people and Sophie was left by her devastated family alone with her Siamese sister at the age of 2 months.
Sophie's sister was shot by a neighbor a week after the tornado when the kittens were scavenging for food on the man's land. Sophie had an Angel call to find her a home.
Sophie was shaken and cried for the first 48 hours of arrival in our master bedroom in our Foster home. After months of Vet care, stability, love and access to her 24/7 kitty buffet, Sophie adjusted to our home.
Sophie started helping decorate the Christmas tree and Wreath as seen in her picture.
Sophie gives unconditional love and follows her person inside and out wanting to care for us.
After Sophie's past we want to make her first Christmas Special! After her emotional rollercoaster start, we have accepted her for a permanent part of our family of 4 humans, 10 altered cats and 1 altered Black Lab mix. All of her family are unadoptable or last chance cats and dog.
Our family has been truly Blessed!
