White gooey discharge coming out of my cat's private area.

My cat is about 6-8 months old, since yesterday when she came and sat on me I found this white gooey thing coming out of her private area. What is it? Please help and thank you.


Without significantly more information and without seeing your cat in person, the list of possible causes for your cat's symptoms is endless.

Is your cat indoor or outdoor? Is your cat spayed?

The discharge could be coming from one of two areas on your cat, either her rectum or her vagina. It could be tapeworm or another parasite, mucus from her colon, a feline uterine infection, pyrometra, or even anal sac discharge. The possibilities truly are endless, and some of these conditions can become quite serious if left untreated.

Your cat needs a physical exam by a veterinarian as soon as possible.
