Sophia was not even a year yet when we had gotten her and her brother Carlos back in December from a breeder. Me and mom had decided we wanted a Maine Coon cat, so we looked up online and found a breeder near us... We already had two other cats, Taz and Jynx.
Well, we went to get a kitten from this breeder and the kitten we had chosen was Carlos, Sophia's brother. But when I saw that beautiful little gray face, I just had to have Sophia too... She was the first girl cat we have ever gotten and she was so different from the others.
She was so independent and so smart... She would always scratch at the door when she wanted out like the dogs did. She made me laugh so much when she did that! She only liked to ever cuddle with the males in my family. She was very picky about what she ate, just like a lady. That little girl made my family smile and laugh. She was our little girl kitty...
Like I had said, it wasn't long after we got her that one night I had gotten a phone call saying she was outside laying on the neighbors sidewalk dead and someone had hit her with their car. I yelled and cried I couldn't believe my little beloved Sophia Grace was gone. I wondered if she suffered and I wanted to know who did it and couldn't call and tell us what they've done... It hurt so bad knowing there are people that cold-hearted out there, especially our neighbors who have always hated our family...
I know our little beautiful girl kitty is in heaven now with my cat Jakey who had passed before of old age. And I know God had her in his arms. But I still can't believe she's not here with us. She was so young. It's crazy how you fall in love with pets so fast. Every bit of money we've spent on her was so worth the time we got with her... I'd save up millions just to have her back...
ALWAYS REMEMBER... Spend as much time as you can with your pets for this could also happen to them any day. You never know what could happen. R.I.P All pets who have passed!
