Odd eyed cat?

Not a trick of the light. This difference in eye shade is always present.

QUESTION

I have researched feline Heterochromia and all descriptions and images are of cats with one blue eye + another color (green, gold, etc).

I have a 10 week old ASH tabby female with odd eyes - BUT they are both goldish brown. The odd part is her left eye is a significantly darker shade. See photo.

Have you ever seen this ???

Hi, Melanie,

Yes, many times. She is beautiful. I can tell from the picture that the color is uniform in the darker eye and that her cornea is normal and her pupil. She looks very perfect. She simply has two different colored eyes. Nothing to worry about.

Nice to hear from West Virginia. I grew up there. I spent the first 18 years of my life there. Still have many family members there. Beautiful country.

Thank you for writing. Enjoy that beautiful little girl!

Sincerely,
Dr. Neely
