My Cat Has An Upset Tummy
My 10 yr old male cat has not eaten or had anything to drink in the last 3 days. ( That I am aware of.)
The last 2 days he has been sleeping all day and all night. He acts as though he has tummy troubles as he lays around. My cat gets up to change positions to get comfy and then goes back to sleep, or at least tries.
When I touch my cat, he acts as though he is uncomfortable. When I touch a certain area on his tummy, he will open his mouth to voice something and nothing comes out.
I have checked my cat for external sores, bites etc, nothing. I believe it's internal. 2 days ago I took his temp and it was 105. Today, it's normal. He's still not eating or drinking. I'm worried he has a bad hair ball.
The cat symptoms you describe are not likely associated with a hair ball, but they are indicative of a very ill cat who should have been to the vet long before now. He is, no doubt, quite dehydrated by now from not drinking or eating and from fever. He is suffering and needs help. Please take him to the vet right away.
Hoping things work out,
Discharge after my cat poops
My cat is 6 months old, and 2 days ago I noticed that after he poops, he has a brownish pink discharge.
The discharge you describe seeing from your cat could be mucus, anal sac discharge, or even diarrhea. The color description including "pink" is concerning because it could indicate the presence of blood.
I would recommend bringing a stool sample and your cat to a veterinarian for a thorough exam.
All the best,
